ATX Cases?

Hi all!

Just wondering if anyone has a favorite ATX case that they like?

I definitely want a mid-tower and I'm trying to maximize my dollar for the important stuff. I would really like something that is stylish, simple, not at all modded out. I love the look of the steel/aluminum boxes but have not found one that is relatively inexpensive.

Four 5.25 external, two 3.5 external and four 3.5 internal drive bays would be ideal.

Any suggestions or ideas would be extremely welcome!

BTW...I plan to get a pretty hefty HD and partition it. On one partition I am going to use Ubuntu-Linux and I haven't decided which OS to load on the other yet. If any of you are Linux heads and have thoughts on system hardware, please share. This will be my first Linux install/distro and I can use all the advice I can get!

Unless you need the space I would recommend getting a Full-Size tower. It's all up to you, but I know I need the extra space. I have the Chief-tec (Antec style) case with a window. Suits my needs but I wish the front panel USB was 2.0.

As far as linux, I'm by no means a "guru" but i've played around a little bit with it. Ubuntu i've never used but you might want to try one of the more major, newbie friendly flavors of linux?

I just built a computer for a customer using the Antec Sonata II as the case. It's simply gorgeous, albeit a little on the small side. 3 5.25" bays, 2 external 3.5" bays, and 4 internal 3.5" bays. It also comes with a 450w ATX 2.0 compliant power supply. The case w/ PSU does run around $110-120 (depending on shipping prices), but since the power supply alone would cost around $50+ (and is made by Antec, not some junk off-brand), you should figure that into the equation.

Good Place to buy it from: www.ebuyer.com/customer/p.../index.html

    Happy Building
